Peanut Butter and Jam Revue (PBJR)

During the early 1980s the Board of Directors of the Fort Collins Children’s Theater started a summer program which today we call the Peanut Butter and Jam Revue (PBJR). It has been successfully running every summer since it began. The six-week program welcomes children ages 10-14 years of age and we offer a morning and afternoon session each day. Students of the program are given an excellent opportunity to learn about live theater and the various elements that contribute to a successful show, both onstage and back stage. With the help of a director, music director, technical director and student assistants and apprentices, the children will prepare a musical which is performed eight times on the stage of the Lincoln Center Magnolia Theater. The six week workshop begins right after school gets out for the summer and ends with public performances at the Lincoln Center in mid July. Applications will be available in April at this website. Workshop slots will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. This is an excellent program for children interested in live, musical theater so sign up as soon as the applications are posted. More detailed information will be posted soon.

Our 2012 PBJR workshop will be held June 4th through July 15th. Applications will be available on this website March 15, 2012.
